FRAMES MEASURES REFINEMENT FOR RACING

Mass-produced motorbikes frames shows tolerances due to large scale production, not perfect at all! On track every detail makes the difference. If improving is the imperative, measuring with mega-m.a.x. Scheibner shows the differences between basic measures and those detected on under consideration motorbike, by providing key points to work on to make the refinements.

Procedure consist of zeroing or modify under specific requests (in accordance with tolerances and the regulations ) frame’s geometry. In particular interventions concern:

– Steering Head perpendicularity respect swing-arm pivot;

– Steering Head angle of inclination

– Steering Head Centering respect to frame centerline

These are minute handworks, which precision it’s guaranteed by measurement accuracy and by interventions carried out. The final goal is to obtain at the same time three “zeroing” intervention on frame measure imperfections compares to manufacture tolerances.

Obviously these are interventions aimed to PERFORMANCE, suitable for racers that doesn’t leave anything to chance for their performance.

Factory tolerances problem obviously concern also the swing-arm and consequenlty it’s transmitted to rear wheel measures. To obtain a global improvement, bike must be perfect for both front-end and rear-end: a further improvement intervention consist in perfect swing-arm squaring-up, through measures zeroing and through wheel centering compares to frame centerline.

Final result is a neutral bike on directions changes, especially on chicanes and sharp curves. Bike devoid of understeer and absolutely precise on corner entry even with braking. A new feeling with its own bike with results in a more pleasant drive, safe and big performing, but especially profitable.. witnesses of improvement will not only be feelings but also the chronometer.
